Let us help you find care that's right for you.

What to Expect

  • We request that you arrive 5 - 10 minutes early for your appointment to complete our new patient forms, or download, print and complete them before arriving. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

  • Consultation with the chiropractic doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals. The chiropractor will ask you questions about the complaint, as well as general health questions.

  • After your consultation and once you have signed the consent form, the chiropractic doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will also be performed. After the assessment is complete the chiropractor will discuss the most likely cause of pain.

  • Depending on your specific condition, we may refer you for X-rays. An X-ray is not always required and if you have recently had an X-ray/CT scan/MRI is it best to bring the films and report to your appointment. Medicare patient X-ray referrals will be bulk-billed.

  • Once the information is collected and examinations are performed the chiropractor will give you a detailed explanation of all findings and answer any questions including:

    - How can you help me?

    - How often or how many times do I need to come in?

    - What will my treatment cost?

  • In most cases a working diagnosis can be formed after examination and treatment can commence on the same day. However, if further investigation e.g. X-ray is required, a referral will be written and treatment will only begin on the second visit (after results are discussed). This may include spinal adjustments and/or soft tissue therapy. You can express concerns about the different styles of treatment at any time.

  • Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. The purpose of this is for you to achieve good posture, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.

The Lotus Chiropractic Care Difference

At Lotus Chiropractic Care, we understand that living with pain can be devastating. Nothing is more important than your mobility, as this impacts every area of life, including your work, relationships, and hobbies. We meet our patients when they are in pain. They are frustrated that they haven’t gotten relief, even after undergoing expensive and invasive treatments. With our care, that same patient often experiences relief within a few short sessions. The key is to find the root cause and assess the patient as a whole person (not just the area of pain). We partner with our patients to cultivate their ongoing health. If you’re looking for a real solution to chronic pain, you’re in the right place.
